Jewel's pups

This isn't the greatest picture, but they are always sleeping! Jewel's puppies are 3 weeks old today. They are fat and healthy.
The sweet little runt made it as long as she could. I endend up bottle feeding her for two weeks. She finally gave it up the morning she turned 1 mth old. :( she was a fighter.

I thought this was so funny! This is the littlest puppy (pictured below). As I said, she is strong! She was not giving up after mama turned over. Ha!!

Jewel's puppy

This is Jewel's smallest puppy. She is so strong. I worried about her at first but she has shown me that she can hang with the rest of them! Jewel is such a great mother & so protective.

Jewel's 2011 puppies

Jewel had her puppies on a Wednesday night, June 8th. Four females and one male!! These are some very tiny puppies. In this picture, they were just born and still wet. She started pushing at 9:15 and had her first puppy at 10:00. With in an hour, she had had all five puppies. She had such an easy delivery. I was so relieved. I've experienced around 15 births and every time one of my mamas start contracting, I get nervous. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether they are in distress and need help and if the vet needs to be called. It can be very stressful for me, not to mention the dogs!! Then when it's over, I worry about the puppies eating and hope the mama doesn't lay on them. I've learned to let nature take its course. There is absolutely nothing you can do to get a puppy to nurse. They all seem to figure it out though.

E-mails!!

I'm listed on http://www.puppyfind.com/ and http://www.breeders.net/. My e-mails are on both, llee@madisonvillecisd.org and playhouseyorkies@gmail.com. If you e-mail me about a puppy, I will always respond. If, however, you don't get an e-mail back from me, please send my a text or call 936-348-4654. I've had several e-mails sent to me, and for some reason, when I respond, they are sent back to me undelivered. I don't want to miss out on any questions or inquiries so please know that you are very important!!!
